El lado oscuro de la Europa.
La asociación cultural il Cartello llega por fin a Barcelona y lo hace de la mejor forma que sabe: hablando a través de la cultura y del cine. Il Cartello, webzine y media Company de Florencia que promociona la innovación cultural, actúa con el objetivo de reducir el Gap entre cultura y tecnología. De esta manera lanzará el 22 de Marzo en la capital catalana un cinefórum con el tema “European Suburbs & Borderline Stories”. El primer evento en tierra española se inspira en los acontecimientos de las crónicas más recientes que han tocado el viejo continente: inmigración, atentados, dependencias, austeridad y la falta de integración social. Fenómenos que nacen en las periferias de los principales centros urbanos o que florecen en los suburbios del mundo para luego llegar inevitablemente a Europa. El objetivo del cinefórum es el de poder plasmar aquellas realidades de la cotidianidad europea que los medios convencionales omiten. Hoy en día, estamos pasando por una fase de cambio y transformación del tejido social en el que vivimos y queremos contarlo a través de la potencia del séptimo arte para “dar voz a los que no tienen una”. A partir del martes 22 de Marzo estáis todos invitados al espacio cultural “Inusual Project”, ubicado en la Carrer de la Paloma 5, en el corazón del multiétnico barrio del Raval, para ver juntos (y al precio popular de 2€) un total de 6 películas de diferentes nacionalidades europeas. El evento comenzará a las 20:30h con una pequeña presentación de la película que se visionará, acompañada de un aperitivo en el bar que hay en la misma sala. A continuación empezaremos con la proyección del film que será en versión original y subtitulada en castellano. Os adjuntamos la programación de las diferentes sesiones. The Cultural Association il Cartello officially arrives in Barcelona, and its premier event mixes culture and cinema. Il Cartello is an Italian webzine and media company that “promotes cultural innovation and aims to reduce the gap between culture and technology.” On March the 22nd it will host its first event in the Catalan capital: a film festival with the theme, “European suburbs & borderline stories”. The first project ever organized in Spain draws inspiration from recent events that took place in Europe: immigration, terrorism, addictions, austerity, and lack of integration. These phenomena often take root and evolve in spaces on the periphery, either the suburbs of European cities, or at the margins of global consciousness. The objective of the festival is to present a snapshot of those everyday-stories that do not receive enough attention from European mainstream media, but that are related to these broader phenomena. We are going through a phase of radical transformation of the social fabric. This project aims to narrate such transformation, through the power of the seventh art, in order to “give a voice to those that do not have one”. On March 22nd, you are all invited to the cultural hub “The Inusual Project” situated on Joaquin Costa right in the centre of the vibrant and multi-ethnic Raval. Every two weeks, we will meet to watch together a total of six movies from six European States – and at the price of 2€. The event will start at 8:30 pm and, immediately following a brief presentation about the work and a couple of aperitivos at the bar, we will broadcast the movies. Films will be shown in their original version and subtitled in Spanish. The dark side of Europe.
