Playa del Carmen, Mexico: BPM Festival is coming soon.
In January, Il Cartello will be coming to you live from the pristine sandy beaches and crystal waters of Playa del Carmen in Mexico, and dancing in between Inca temples in the wonderful location of Tulum, for the 2016 edition of BPM Festival. The Festival, now in its 9th year, see’s partygoers from all around the world descend on the beach for 10 whole days of underground electronic and techno music featuring over 375 artists including the heavyweights Richie Hawtin, Nina Kraviz, Tale of Us, Solomun, DJ Tennis, Jamie Jones and many, many more.
With a new breath of fresh air seeming to energise the Italian underground music scene after recent events at Napoli’s Boiler Room, we will be live from Mexico to follow how homegrown talent such as Joseph Captriati , DJ Tennis with his Life and Death label and more continue to showcase our talent across the globe. We will be also keeping a close eye on up and coming DJ’s from different locations including Konstantin, from Resident Advisor’s no1 record label of the year Giegling, more accustomed to the dark clubs of Berlin and Düsseldorf than to the Mexican sands. Over the next two weeks we will be giving you a unique insight into the parties to watch, the showcases not to be missed, the emerging artists and everything else off-field.
